In April of 2021, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and working from home, the creative team at Lionakis began reinventing and planning the office of the future. The firm knew they needed a special place to showcase Lionakis’ talent and commitment to the city of Sacramento. A non-descript old building across the street from the current office was selected as the office of the future. The historic 40,000 square foot building was originally the Weaver Tractor showroom built in the WW II era. Over the recent decades, the building had been divided into multiple tenant spaces and the original barrel vaults and 32 ft high ceilings were covered up leaving the original architecture obscured and almost lost forever.
In celebration of this new office this table was selected to be the crown jewel of the space. Fine woods, recycled content, and streamlined design became the design intent behind this unique table that embodies principles of the past leading to successes of the future. For over 111 years, Lionakis has helped shape a better future for its clients, employees, and community with landmark projects like the Sacramento DMV headquarters, The Franchise Tax Board State Office Building, and the award-winning Sacramento River Water Intake Structure. It is our hope this table becomes the launching point for many more landmark projects over the next 100 years.
