Hello. Meet Astro. Engineered from the intricate mechanisms of a piano action, this desk lamp is T-minus one Charity auction away from space travel. The countless rods, dowels and felt hammers inspired me to imagine something equally complex and mechanical as a rocket ship. Building a lamp from the ground up allowed for creative liberties such as using an Edison blub as the fiery rocket propulsion. It’s one Minor step for Mozart and one Major leap for mankind.
