Hi there, I'm Esther Rose

This is my story.

In 2021, HGA San Francisco competed with local architecture firms to raise funds for an event called Chairity, hosted by SF-Based furniture dealer, two.

Our team fundraised to support Not In Our Town, an Oakland-based project that uses documentary film, new media, and organizing to stop hate, address bullying and build safe, inclusive communities.

For our Chairity item, we partnered with SC Builders to recycle and transform a historical, vintage cart designed in 1936 by Sylvan Goldman, inventor of the shopping cart. The new and improved cart was auctioned off at the Chairity fundraised in November 2021 where Esther Rose won the award for “Sustainability.” We are thrilled to pass Esther Rose onto a new loving home and have her legacy live on for years to come!

Chairity 2021 was held November 4 at the San Francisco Design Center.
