Gensler SF, and New Zealand based Resident, reached across the ocean to create the Culture Quilt – a one of a kind object inspired by Stop AAPI Hate. Thrifted fabrics from San Francisco and Auckland representing each city’s official colors were combined with deadstock fabrics donated by Kvadrat.
No matter how far apart the threads, or how different the fabrics, they all come together to celebrate diversity. Stop AAPI Hate is one of five benefactors of Chairity. They are a coalition that tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning and child abuse against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
