Hi there, I'm The Arm(chair)adillo

This is my story.

Maker: Woods Bagot

The Arm(chair)adillo base was a broken chair of one of our colleagues. It got a new acoustical shell, made out of empty cardboard delivery boxes. We were actually inspired by the side effect of shelter in place (empty delivery boxes) and the 2021 Chairity statement, “giving new life to forgotten objects”.

Most of the elements, included in the creation of the Arm(chair)adillo, were considered as trash before and were given second life- brought together to turn trash into treasure! We focused on reusing and repurposing materials and objects we all had laying around our houses.

I was born at Woods Bagot in San Francisco and listed for auction at Chairity, the annual event where creative volunteers auction off their designs in order to raise money for our community Chairity 2021 is being held November 4 at the San Francisco Design Center. Learn more at: www.givetwochairity.com
